About Democracy in Iraq or Ethnic cleansing of the Christians?
I enjoyed your article very much and I am grateful to people
like you who are willing to put such information out for everyone
to see. For far too long, the Assyrians have been silent.
The massacres mentioned in your articles are only the tip of
the iceberg and constitute a small percentage of total massacres
inflicted on the "Assyrian Nation". The only reason
we know about them is because they were recorded after major
powers of Europe had taken over the Middle East. Only God knows
how many more massacres suffered by our people have never been
recorded. If the Assyrians were left alone as the empire fell,
the numbers wold be in hundred of millions or more.
The Kurds and all of the other Muslim nations in the area know
this and they are trying to destroy us. We are not living in
Iraq but they are all (Shites, Sunnis, Kurds) living in the "occupied
ASSYRIA". The Kurds along with all of the others sects know
well that the only indigenous people to the area are the Assyrians
and no one else has any claim or rights to the land unless the
Assyrians want to give that to them.
It is up to the Assyrians to take this matter into their hands.
If we are serious about a home land, then we should follow the
proper protocol and learn from other nations long forgotten who
have come back.
The Kurds are not harassing Assyrians because they are Christians,
they are harassing them because they are Assyrians. This has
always been the case throughout the History. The Kurds, Shites
or the Sunnis have no History. They have no accomplishment
or contributions to the world except for Terrorism both old and
new.
Take away the Assyrian accomplishments and contributions to Mesopotamia
and your are left with absolutely nothing. The Abbasid Caliphates
well knew this and that is the reason they encouraged the Assyrians
to establish and be the founders of the Baghdad University
and many other institutions.
If this was not the case, then when the European powers came
to the Middle East, they should have discovered greatness instead
of backwardness, stupidity, superstition, poverty and illiteracy.
I reiterate my message that it is up to every member of
the Assyrian Nation to get involved to reverser the course and
re-establish the Assyrian Home land.
Assyria was a great nation and IT CAN BE GREAT AGAIN.
Regards,
Beloos S Bet
